Install went perfect via Clockwork. Rebooted and its stuck on the Rubix animated logo. Any suggestions?

Batt pull, hold down home button while you put battery back in, keep it held till you see the M logo. Should take you to android recovery (little droid with a ! in a triangle, hit the search button to get to the menu. From the menu, wipe cache and data, then reboot... Should get you into Focused...

Thanks for the reply....

I did that, but notice the following error where it allows me to wipe the cache and date. At the bottom below the ! logo, it says E:Can't open in yellow text. /cache/recovery/command

If I still select wipe cache partition I get the following results:

-- Wiping cache....
Formatting CACHE...
.Cache wipe complete

then i select: Reboot
M comes up...
Then the Rubix logo which is animated and nothing else.

Mine is doing the exact same thing, won't reboot into the correct recovery menu, and rom manager/bootstrapper option to reboot recovery doesn't work. If I manually boot into recovery I get the same error message on the bottom

... ahh, reminds me of the vi/emacs days... :P

Anyone notice that when their phone is asleep, the home key will still turn the screen on and the search key will activate voice search? This is causing battery drain and haptic feedback in my pocket when I'm walking around. Is there a fix?

I backed up my factory settings and loaded rubix and its stuck at the rubix screen and keeps resetting what do I do

It states in the install instructions that you have to format data/cache otherwise that will happen. Did you format?

Multi-Touch Keyboard

Anyone get this working yet? I tried the D2_keyboard and DX_keyboard updates included with fission roms, and the updates from sephtin's site with no luck.

I only seem to be successfull in removing the android keyboard using any/all of these.

I've checked the phone after running the updates, and the files are all there, but I don't even get the keyboard for an input choice, I only see swype.

Have you checked in Settings > Input and Keyboard ?

Yeah, after each update, I checked for the keyboard as in input method for a text field, then when it wasn't there, I checked the settings -> language & keyboard section. No luck.

Ahh, unfortunately... the home button turning on the screen, pulling the phone out of sleep to the lock screen is default action, don't know how to change, and the search button is actually a known bug by Moto, as explained here:
Droid 2 bug allows anyone to make calls at passcode screen [updated -- Droid X, too] | Android Central

Fix for the search thing using HomeSmack (Which also gets you back your double press on home button functionality in Focused as well... nice app!
[APP] HomeSmack - Change double-tap Home and Long-search - xda-developers
(This was recommended by someone in the Focused 1.6 thread. To you, thanks again! ; )
