Often imitated, never duplicated! Focused 1.8.6

I tried...... I downloaded and installed put file in the right part and installed the drivers and still keep getting the fail only 3rd time though

It goes to the rubix screen and keeps restarting. I go to use the SBF file and i click start and it fails I dont know why I just want to send it back to factory how can I do that quickly.

Are you following the SBF instructions very, very carefully?

The thread above is your bible for getting your Droid X back. I've done some pretty bone-headed things to my phone, and the steps above have never ONCE failed me.

good stuff for making sure all should go well...

Hey guys.. I wrote yesterday about how my phone kept switching to 1X mode constantly. It's still doing it today, and yes, I did the *228 right after I installed 1.8.6. I've also tried using Fission 2.1 and Im getting the exact same thing.. I have a feeling it has something to do with 2.2.1.. When I was on 1.6 my 3G was pretty rock solid, it wasn't perfect but definitely not like it is now.

For example, if I put my phone side to side with my wife's LG Ally, her's has full 3G and never drops to 1X, while mine drops out and switches to 1X 2 or 3 times in a 10 minutes time span..

Is anyone else having this issue? If not, then maybe it's my phone, but like I said, 1.6 was pretty good. Maybe I'll try an SBF when I get home and start over.

If any of the devs know of this issue, I'd be more than happy to help and do some testing.

Yeah I would try an SBF and go from there.

Do you still have a nandroid of your 1.6 install? If so, could verify it there as well... (??).

i am wanting to flash this but i noticed several people saying the 3g hotspot isn't working or even showing up in apps. has there been a fix for this? or is it still being worked out??

Decided to install this as my first ever ROM. I'm impressed at the stability & speed. Quadrant scores seem to be about the same but no blur= stable as hell! I've been hesitant to install ROM's due to some things not working or working correctly in some of them but I must say this is sweet. Great work Drod!

I do have a nandroid of my 1.6.. I tested it and the 3g doesn't drop like it does with 1.8.6.. It does drop every once in a while but not constantly. Actually, 1.6 dropped 3G the least out of any custom rom or stock rom.

I've always had minor 3G dropping issues even with the original stock 2.1, 2.2 OTA and all roms but it wasn't really a big deal. Now it is really noticeable. Also, I've had 3 or 4 different X's(because of pixels, speaker buzz, etc.) and all of them had the same issue, but again, it was minor.

I'm sure I will have the same issue if/when verizon does the new OTA if that's what this new rom is based off of.

Not a big deal if I have to go back to 1.6, since it runs awesome anyways.. I'm just surprised no one else is having this problem.

Awesome release! Keep up the awesome work and efforts drod, beta team, and seph!

Not a big deal, but when changing the voicemail number and adding voicemail password after *86 and saving it, my network drops off for a sec, then comes back online. Anyone able to duplicate that to verify? Thanks!

Another question as I bounce back to Focused to compare them again (poor phone). In both Apex nextheme and blurry I can get a landscape dialer and when I call the call buttons and picture of the person is in landscape also. I know I can get dialers that do landscape but how can I get the actual call to do it in focused?

Thanks
