rubiX Focused 1.9.0 Leak/Non-Leak

Since the sbf is out now has anyone switched yet. I was curious if there is a noticeable difference between them.

Edit: I mean for 2.3.20

Swyped from my X with the droidforums app

yeah, wondering that too.
is there a change log?

for 2.3.320? No... Moto doesn't give changelogs. :)

The signal has been noticeably better on the leak, though.

I would LOVE to see the source of that...
I have seen several people say that they have seen ZERO change in signal..... ??

Loving the work you do Drod! One thing though... anyone else having MAJOR market issues? I will not install updates no matter what I do. I experienced this in the nonleak version. Since the full 2.3.320 sbf just came out, I took the plunge and updated to the leak and resintalled the leak version of rubiX and still having the same issues. Anybody know a fix to this?

Did you restore anything via titanium?

Only thing I can think of to try, is to clear the market data for Market, and give it another shot?

Menu> Settings> Applications> Manage Applications> all tab> Market
Force stop, clear cache, clear data... and try again.
Yeah, I usually restore my apps through Titanium Backup after every install. Should I not do this anymore? Is there a better way to restore apps (not through syncing market since I lose data) after every ROM install? I tried wiping data and it seemed to work on one app but we'll see how long that lasts. =P Thanks Sephtin!

Google data sync tries to use the market to download and reinstall all of the apps after you load a new ROM.

Market app was just getting confused. You will probably also see some weirdness with some apps, but a data/cache wipe of the app *should* resolve, so if you get FC issues, or weirdness like that, just try the data/cache...

Be VERY careful not to restore system data, and in theory, the issues should be minimal...

I personally noticed better signal before my X went kablunk.

Several of my testers as well have noticed better signal.

I take back my "no problems" comment. I am seeing very rare reboots when unlocking. This seemed to start around 1.8 for me.

1.9 non leak, black bar theme. Did data & cache wipe, no titanium backup, no overclocking, no under volt.

In my experience, running "No Lock" to disable the Android lock and running a lock replacement (like Widgetlocker) circumvents the unlocking reboots.

Ok, well performing the "fix permissions" via ROM Manager did not do the trick. After fixing permissions I rebooted both DX & PC.

Then I launched the Motorola Driver Installation on my PC. I then did a "Clean and Reinstall" and again rebooted bot DX & PC. This seems to work now. I can unplug my DX and then reconnect it without any problem charging or reading DX data. dancedroid

I took an extra step to see if there was any difference in just pulling the USB cable out VS using Safely Remove Hardware first. There was no difference.

All of this leads me to believe that the Moto drivers got corrupted somehow.

I hope this helps someone else if they run into this problem. thanks again for those suggestions compchick813.

Just FYI: Windows XP Pro (32-bit) & DX specs in sig.

Yeah, I think it was the "clean and reinstall" that did the trick for me too. Glad that worked!
