question about overclocking scripts

Hey Seph or Drod or anyone else who knows the ins and outs of the overclocking on 1.9.0, I have a question for you...

I had been using Tasker to run certain scripts to overclock/undervolt when more memory-intensive apps were running, mostly games. Since 1.9.0, though, the scripts don't run as they should. (I think)I could edit the lowvolt.sh script for my undervolt values and have Tasker run that, but I can't do the same thing for overclock. I guess what I'm wondering is, how can I run the overclocking/undervolting manually? i.e. when I run

su -c "/system/bin/overclock.sh"

it doesn't work like it did originally. (I know the scripts are in xbin now, but they still don't work if I use that in the command line). nor does it work if I do

I have limited knowledge with this, just what has been posted online and what I've figured out myself, so any insight would be appreciated! thanks.

edit: I know I didn't post info on my install history or anything, but my phone has been running flawlessly (thank you very much!) so I'm thinking it's a change in the code that I don't understand as opposed to an installation issue. great, great job on everything though! RubiX X.X.X FTW!

can someone please explain why im not getting this amazing battery life?? ive made 2 calls. and received 4 emails. its been off charger for 2 hours. im at 80%...doesnt seem even close in comparison to you guys...the only thing i have auto syncing is twitter every 2 hours...i just dont understand

How long ago did you install the ROM? It might take some time to adjust. Also did you charge it all the way up after installing? Wipe the battery stats after? (I didn't do that but some say it helps.)

It doesn't sound like your battery life is terrible really, give it some time and see what happens. I also have my battery manager on Maximum Battery Saver. I don't use the twitter, facebook, or news widgets.

i installed 1.9.0 leak version the day it came out. and yup..i charged all the way, then wiped stats and dalvik cache. i guess ill just wait a lil longer...see what happens.


edit: i really want the new blurry when it is released...hopefully battery life will be decent on that version as well

Just dropping in to say that this ROM on 2.3.32 rocks like no other. I have always been a fan of your work, but my phone is faster at 800 MHz now then it ever was at 1 GHz on previous ROMs. Absolutely sick. Thanks so much. Oh, and so far battery life is pretty ridiculous, especially considering the speed. I think you finally solved my chronic flashing syndrome. Good luck with finals...I have a few coming up myself.

Hey guys,

I LOVED 0.5 and have been away for a while. The only thing missing from this rom is the 3g mobile hotspot compatibility. Was this addressed in 1.9.0? Does anyone know if there is a universal fix? I have to use tranq 3.5 until this gets resolved. This rom has killed any others for me so I'm dying to come back to it.

3gHotSpot app isn't currently available for Focused. I know drod is aware, and said he was going to look into it...

I am currently running rubix Focused 1.9 Non-Leak. I was considering upgrading to 2.3.320 and then Focused 1.9 Leak. Any advantages?

I know if I do this there is no turning back.

If you can't play some media types is really the only tangible fix that's known.
Some people claim better signal, but have seen posts also saying theirs is as bad or worse... So I'm not convinced.

Other things like new versions of apps, and a "fix" for random reboots (which was to over volt) are just removed by installing a ROM anyway...

It's basically a personal preference...

I won't be going to the leak.. I'll wait for the OTA, and/or TBH to RELEASE a method to go back (sounds like they're working on something.. but nothing available yet).

I did at first, but I went into Settings > Accounts > Facebook and toggled the sync off/on a few times. That did the trick and it's worked ever since.

Got an issue where i was messing with my mute button on my phone, then unmuted and my friend on the other line couldn't hear me talking! I kept messing with it to fix it but no luck, i ended call, called back, still couldn't hear me, so i rebooted my phone, called back and then it worked wtf?. Earlier I made a call, didnt hear a ring, or anyone pick up, and the other side heared silence, this continued on when i tried calling two more times, so i rebooted the phone, made the call and it worked. Sooo can someone help with this? lol. Im running rubix 1.9 like here. Would like my phone to work as a phone still

Im having a problem adding my Yahoo email account, it keeps saying I entered the wrong username and password, and I am completely positive that I entered it correctly. I had the problem also when I was using Apex 1.2 any ideas of why it could be happening?

everything worked fine, keeping that sbf around though just in case.

honestly, signal does seem stronger, i never have full bars in my basement...
