rubiX Focused 1.9.0 Leak/Non-Leak

I think the FAQ should be sticky though and kept up to date.
I also think the main thread for the current version should be sticky too.

That might help folks find common info and prevent them from posting a questions in new threads.

I'm personally OK with answering questions that have already been asked.

I'm going to talk to Drod to ensure that the next release includes a post by one of us to take care of FAQ's... that way we can just answer questions with links to post 2 or 3 :P

Stop arguing in the thread, it is annoying when I get updates in my email and only mindless bickering between two people.
Stop arguing about people arguing. j/k Only argue about why the people that leave and come back left in the first place :icon_ peace:

If people are considered being on leak versions...:
Depends on the context. ;) If you were on 2.3.320, and installed the patches from TBH to update kernel/baseband/etc., then for all intensive purposes, you are on 2.3.340...
BUT, for the purpose of some things, like which version of Focused 1.9.0, .. the """leak""" version of Focused1.9.0, really means 2.3.3xx... if that makes sense...

So from stock 2.3.340 MotoBlur (just as with 2.3.320 leak)... the version of Focused you want is the 1.9.0LEAK version.. correct, and then apply the patch to update Focused for 2.3.340 to match up with the 2.3.340 kernel (etc.).

That's absolutely correct. :)

Thanks for confirming the madness :)

Do I need to do anything special to install the transitions?

If you prefer the default Focused white bar... then install the transitions patch (first post of this thread).
If you want the black notification bar, install the black bar with transitions (version 5.2, see the bottom of the 1.9.0 black bar post on sephtin.com)

OR, you can install any theme that includes the 1.9.0 transitions. :)

HTH!

Have also mentioned to him that he needs mod privs for his section.. :P
Hell, I'd like them myself.. twice I've had threads hijacked beyond recognition, and requested that mods split them (with zero response).. :S oh well.

Thanks! Was I suppose to wipe cache or something? Phone wouldn't boot, had to yank the battery...

If you try booting again, and it gets stuck, try wiping cache...
If you hold home button down when you put the battery back in, it should boot
into Android recovery (lil droid with a ! in a triangle)... When you see that, hit the search button on the phone...
From the menu, wipe cache, and reboot...

Cross your fingers.

Shouldn't have to wipe data.. but ... if all else fails.

Yeah there definitely needs to be someone with moderator abilities to fix some of this nonsense. There are many duplicate threads and hijacked threads that could be sorted out... and a sticky would work wonders.

It came back (thank god), so when you apply updates and such you should always wipe cache?

Sent from my DROIDX using DroidForums App

It certainly doesn't hurt Mozzarella. But it's not something that is ALWAYS required. The way I always do it is:

1) apply update and reboot

2) if bootloop or errors, wipe cache

3) if still bootloop or errors, wipe data/cache
