Only think I am having issues with up to this point is Gmail is not notifying me of messages. In fact, I have to hit refresh while in Gmail to get it to check messages. Anything I can do to fix?

It is doing the same thing to me. BD is coming up with an update zip to fix all of the issues. Not sure when though.

I do love that the GPS gets a fix on ya quick!! UD 8 was driving me nuts with that. Embarrassed me once in front of some folks after I was boasting about the Droid. LOL. Sat there 5 minutes waiting for a GPS location once. That was after they watched me reboot it. DOH!! LOL.

You could also try checking your account sync settings. I know when I first flashed UD1.0, for some reason gmail was not checked to sync automatically. Just a possibility

Try this: From the home screen/Menu/Settings/Applications/Manage Applications/All/Gmail/Clear Cache/Clear Data.

Question...I have tried to install a couple of the apps like fancy weather or any of the apps from the built in apps section.. I get the pop up after clicking on install the fancy weather widget, I select yes I get another window that pops up that says running command... and then nothing else happens..the apps don't install.. any ideas?

After the dialog that says "running command" goes away, wait like 30 seconds then reboot.

I tried this..and no dice....I ended up getting ill with it and went back to BB v5

Ok, IIRC D2 version of Swype has speech to text enabled, and supposedly UD has the D2 swype (I say supposedly because the swype version number is 2.4.44.10912 is the last beta release version number that came out, however, I dont know what the version number for D2 is).

My question is this: has anyone from within swype figured out how to enable speech to text? The multitouch keyboard, stock keyboard, and HTC_IME keyboard all allow speech to text, D2 and DX swype allows speech to text, the swype beta's and swype from within this ROM do not, well, at least the one in this ROM doesnt for me.

This is the second UD release in a row that my phone does not like.

Yes, I wiped data/cache.

Going through "Set up your google account" I immediately knew something was wrong. Hardware keyboard is unresponsive, pushing a key causes the phone screen to momentarily go black, then crashes out to previous screen (no force close pop-up, but that's sure what it seems to be).

The soft keyboard crashes when I try to input numbers.

Going to UD settings and trying to install different keyboard does nothing.

All hardware keys are unresponsive. They all cause the screen to flash black.

Power button does not work. Had to pull battery to get into recovery (at least holding "x" during power on works).

I even went so far as to wipe and re-install. Same problems. I'm a sad dude. UD 9 was all screwy for me as well, and I ended up going back to 8. Looks like that's where I'll remain.

My mistake. So many releases to keep track of. I meant 7 and 8, as opposed to 8 and 9. But judging from your response, you have no advice for my problems? This most recent was still disastrous for me. Running 7 for the time being.

Just loaded LOVE IT

I am having zero issues with the release i downloaded directly from bd's sight. I have been using bd's roms exclusively since i began rooting. The last rom i had from the time it came out until last night was version 10. Love version 1.0 gmail works great, market place works flawless, just loaded flash player, gps functions great, no force closes and, the phone runs the best it ever has. Thanks again bd i will be loading this rom onto my dads incredible! Keep up the good work.

I'm liking this ROM alot.

I started with UD a long time ago, then was a loyal BB user until 0.5 (seems laggy after a few days for me).

I am on my 3rd day with UD 1.0.0 and I still haven't charged my battery!

Using the stock UD 1.0.0 kernel (slayer) with Compcache enabled.

Only bug I have seen is where I got into some kind of music next track skipping bug while using the volume keys to change the track....had to reboot to fix.

I don't get it. I mean, I use my phone quite a bit. I do a refresh charge on the battery once during the day to get it through the day. How on earth are you on the third day? I would expect if I unplugged my Droid, fully charged and didn't touch it and came back in three days it would have shut off. That's some crazy long battery life right there.

I would have never believed it either...but I took my phone off the charger 10 hours ago...and I still am at 70% and that is with decent use. And I have my screen time out set at 10 Mins so I know I could do better.

I usually pull it off the charger in the morning and have to charge it every night with moderate use during the day. My flip phone always lasts a few days but I couldn't imagine the droid going that long on a single charge.

Find using the phone 3 days with moderate use and no charge VERY hard to believe. Curious to see your setup setting though

Does anyone have a idea on how to remove the 'ultimate droid' logo on the lock screen ? It was ok until I install a Theme (Golden Elegance) now it's right in the way of my Time. No biggie, just thought I would delete it, but I went to the file in the drawable-hdpi-v4>lockscreen_background and i couldn't delete it, even mounting r/w in root explorer.
